5K Wine Run

The Shops at La Cantera

It’s back by popular demand – and kicks off our festival events for the spring - the 5K Wine Run. What better way to celebrate completing a 5K than with some amazing wines and spirits at The Shops at La Cantera. This second annual race will take place on the roads and pathways in and around The Shops (at La Cantera,) situated at the edge of the Texas Hill Country.  There will be an array of pre and post race festivities for runners as well as entertainment, great food and more.  We are only accepting 2,000 runners for this year's event, so don't wait to register!

Individual registration fee (PER RUNNER) $25 on or before March 1,  $35 - March 2- March 20 .  $55 - March 21-23.

Team registration fee (PER RUNNER) $20 on or before March 1.  $25 -  March 2- March 20.  $50  - March 21-March 23.

NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS!

Awards:  Awards will be presented to the overall male and female finishers, the top male and female Masters finishers (over 40 years of age) and to the top three male and female finishers in each age division.  A special award will be presented to the top three finishers in the Restaurant category and the top overall Team (by number of entrants).


Age Divisions: 
14 and under, 15-18,19-24,25-29, 30-34,35-39, 40-44,45-49, 50-54,55-59,60-64,65-69, 70 and older.


About The Race: 
The first Culinaria Wine Run 5K in 2011 was a huge success and debuted as the biggest inaugural 5K in San Antonio.  A fun course followed by great food and wine made for a popular event.  This race is expected to sell-out again this year, so register early to guarantee your spot. 


T-Shirts: 
Shirts are guaranteed to the first 1,000 registered participants.


Race Day Parking: 
Parking will be available at The Shops of La Cantera parking lot.  Arrive early to pick up your timing chip prior to the race.


VOLUNTEERS:
  No cost.  You get a race t-shirt and are able to participate in the festivities.  If you are running in the race but have family or friends who want to come cheer you on, please encourage them to volunteer.  Many positions are available, from set-up to course marshal to wine pourer.


PACKET PICKUP:
There will be multiple packet pick ups for this year’s race.  Dates and locations will be announced soon!

This is the “IT” event every year!   All of your friends will be there and it won’t be your traditional window shopping.   At Sip, Savor & Shop your palates will Sip amazing wines, Savor culinary talents and Shop at all of the fabulous retailers who will be offering amazing shopping incentives.   Fierce Fashion, Fabulous Food and Fun reign supreme at this evening extravaganza. Come with your friends and reap the shopping benefits! While you’re at it, you might just find your festival fashions for the week while you’re there!

The Grand Tasting

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:  Yes, the Grand Tasting was truly grand last year and so was the crowd! This year, expect this event to be more exclusive and tickets to sell-out quickly! Restaurant Week celebrates food at all of our local restaurants! It is a cross section of the San Antonio culinary scene that encompasses a diverse range of cuisines and includes some of our most time-honored restaurants and buzz-worthy newcomers. The experience gives visitors and residents the opportunity to experience the quality, variety and hospitality that embody the San Antonio dining experience. Bon appétit San Antonio! Attendees of this event return year after year for the opportunity to sample some wonderful rosé wines, including one from Becker Vineyards. Experience the wines through a blind tasting with a panel of experts that will help guide you through a palate of flavors. More flavors follow in the form of food as Chef John Brand of Las Canarias at the Omni La Mansion del Rio Hotel and Ostra at Mokara will provide tasty bites to complete the day.
