Paella Challenge

Top chefs from throughout San Antonio, the United States, and mexico will be coming in for this iron chef style competition to make the best paella; a delicious Spanish seafood or meat and rice entree. San Antonio Executive Chef and Culinary Institute of America graduate Johnny Hernandez of True Flavors Catering and La Gloria Ice House is the event's organizer along with the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber, the Culinary Institute of America, Culinaria, and other generous corporate sponsors. Proceeds benefit the CIA scholarship fund and the Hispanic Chamber's Education Foundation. Culinaria 5K Run/Walk
The Shops at La Cantera

This is the first 5K event at the Shops at La Cantera and promises to be a hit with the local running community. The smooth and fast 3.1 mile loop course will take runners by all the major shops right down the main streetscape. Runners will start in the parking lot and head south on the road that bisects the old and new sections, finishing the race along the scenic perimeter road and entering back where they started. Post race refreshments include great wine, beer and food offerings shared with good friends. All registrants will receive a cotton Culinaria t-shirt and wine glass.
